Process
1. Click on the picture above to watch the life cycle of a seed.
2. With your team, you will grow a bean plant.

3. With your team, go to the "Bean Growing" station and plant your bean. Use the "Bean Growing" record sheet to monitor your bean growth. What do you think will happen to your beans? Share your answers with your teammates.
4. Listen to your teacher read a story about "Sid the Seed" below.
5. Listen to the song below to learn what seeds need to grow. Record on the journal sheet provided by your teacher, "What do Seeds Need to Grow".
6. Try growing your plant virtually. Click on the picture.

8. Great!! Your team chose the plants you want to plant. Now estimate how many plants will fit in your section of the garden. Draw out a plan for your section in your "Garden Journal". After every team has a plan, your teacher will invite a local farmer to go over each groups plan and make sure it will work in our class garden.
9. Let the planting begin!!!!!

examine data through the observing of the garden
growth. - Write about or draw your observations in
your "Garden Journal".
10. Create a group newsletter explaining how to grow a garden. Share your group newsletter with Mrs. Jeanna, parents, classmates, and the local farmer.
